Expect three full months of summer on the Pisan seaboard!

The resorts of Calambrone, Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa have events planned from 2nd June to 3rd September 2011 to bring fun for all ages to their beaches.

The seaboard will also be a key player of the Giugno Pisano (‘Pisan June’)—a magical month to spend in the city of the Leaning Tower, with the San Ranieri Illuminations and the Gioco del Ponte (‘Game of the Bridge’)—with evenings on the beach known as The Sea in a Glass (programme)

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, starting at 8.00pm, one of the bathing establishments will organize an entertaining, passionate and intriguing evening in an attempt to capture the attention and favour of the locals and tourists. These events will run through to September for over 50 evenings to be savoured while admiring the Pisan coast's spectacular sunsets.

On 21st August a fireworks display in Marina di Pisa and, every day until September, performances, festivals, street markets, sports competitions and activities for children.

From the 12th of July, and right through month of August, the days along the Pisan coast will be animated by PisAmare 2011 (programme), a programme of sporting entertainment that will again bring the coastal resorts of Calambrone, Tirrenia, and Marina di Pisa to the forefront. Inflatables, team sports such as water-volleyball and entertainers from the Fantagiokando team will be the ingredients on a menu of over 20 free events aimed at children (mornings) and youngsters (afternoons). Each day, one of the bathing establishments will play host to these events—an excellent aperitif for The Sea in a Glass events in the evenings.

PisAmare 2011 – which will have its own website at www.pisamare.com —will begin with a special day of sporting events held in the beautiful CONI sports centre, where major Italian champions prepare and train for their competitions. On Monday, 11th June, the centre will be opened to the public for the season's opening event.

With these events, its beautiful beaches and coastal resorts, and easy access to the great cities of Tuscany and the inland hills, the Pisan coast reinforces its image as the summer destination of choice for all the family.
