Notte Rossa in Volterra

Saturday 25 June is Volterra's Notte Rossa (red night), red like the sunset, red like the nectar of grapes, red like passion and red like fire.

Associations and citizens in love with Volterra have come up with an event, involving history and culture, allowing Volterra's visitors and inhabitants to discover and rediscover the spots and essence of a unique place in the world.

Musical and tasting initiatives are scheduled to draw attention to the views, silences and colours, to actually becoming one with the city, guiding visitors along an individual and open route in discovery of the Volterra that each seeks, exploring the city that each loves, in his own way.

Short musical fixtures that will be repeated numerous times over the course of the evening, giving everyone the chance to catch them. The Filiera Corta (direct sales) producers will capture the palate of the visitors passing along a route devised with slowness, care, discovery, emotion, rapture, so that the memory of Volterra is forever etched in the soul.

During the Notte Rossa visitors can taste the typical products deriving from the Volterra territory, presented by the Volterra agri-food Comitato Filiera Corta (direct sales committee). At the Municipal Tourism Office in Piazza dei Priori, visitors can collect the glass, with its shoulder bag, and the vouchers for tasting the products dotted along the trail.
