Oratrio del Loretino - San Miniato
The Loretino Oratory was constructed in the XIII century to serve as a private chapel. From the end of the fourteenth century it was the place of worship of the image of the Holy Crucifix until its location in 1718 in the church called after it.
A valuable set of wrought-iron railings separates the last span in which frescoed Stories of the life of Christ created between the end of the XIV and the start of the XV centuries. As a religious vow, after the plague which hit the city in 1527, the esteemed and highly carved wooden altar was made, gilded and decorated with paintings and sculptures.
