Museo zoologicoThe Capannoli Zoological Museum is set up in the rooms of Villa Baciocchi, a late Baroque building surrounded by a public park featuring exotic and age-old plants. The attraction comprises a permanent exhibition of a principally educational nature directed both at a school target group and at all those who love and respect nature and animals.

Visitors are free to follow their own route, choosing from the African Savannah or the white beaches of Hawaii, the grasslands of Patagonia or the deserts of the Dark Continent or the intricate forests of Brazil and the Borneo or the Polar ice and snows.

Moreover, the museum offers visitors the opportunity to go right into the perfect reconstructions of the environments, bringing these far off lands even closer and making them more familiar. 130 of these natural environments are exhibited permanently and contain more than 1400 examples of animals, including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and insects.
