Tirrenia, Ombrelloni al tramontoThe modern and elegant resort of Tirrenia is set in a vast Mediterranean pine forest, only a few kilometres from Pisa, at the centre of the Tuscan coast. The town boasts wide, well-equipped sandy beaches and numerous high-standard accommodation and leisure facilities.

The wide stretch of beach is mostly occupied by bathing establishments but there are also short stretches of free beach that are perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the clear, blue sea.

A wide variety of sports can be practised on the beaches or in the many sporting facilities immersed in the green of the pine forest: beach volleyball, sailing, underwater fishing, tennis, soccer, golf, horse riding.

Tirrenia's pine woods and dunes reserve - a protected area of unique flora and fauna run by the WWF - are perfect for relaxing walks, hikes and bicycle and horse rides.

Tirrenia, DuneThe wide sandy beaches, the clear sea, the vast pine woods and the sports and leisure facilities offer visitors a peaceful and comfortable stay whether they have chosen a campsite set in the woods, a family-run pensione or a luxury hotel.

And there is no shortage of fun: the evening can be spent in discos, night clubs and bars, and the seaside resorts organize beach parties on a regular basis.

The typically Mediterranean climate is agreeable in every season, with spring days bursting with colour, hot, bright summers and relaxing autumns. The extensive infrastructure network, with nearby Galileo Galilei Airport, the port of Livorno and convenient access to major highways and motorways, make Tirrenia very easy to reach.
