Tourist protection

The greatest wish that we could have is that the welcome you receive and the quality of tourist services in our province are on a par with its beauty. However, if you find yourself the victim of some unfortunate incident or disservice, do not worry, we can most certainly help.

This space is relevant to anyone who intends to submit a formal complaint for disservices concerning:
  • accommodation standards and equipment not in keeping with the classification;
  • the prices of the services and features of all types of accommodation structures in the province;
  • travel agencies and non-profit travel activities.

Restaurants are obliged to display a current price list at least inside the premises, featuring the price of food, drinks and the cover and service charges. Any deficiencies regarding the hygiene of the premises can be brought to the attention of the Unità Sanitaria Locale (Local Health Authority) or to the special body of the Carabinieri, Nucleo Antisofisticazioni. Compensation will only be granted for items stolen from the restaurant if they had been handed in for safekeeping.

Conciliation Desk

In a bid to avoid drawn-out, expensive legal procedures, the Pisa Chamber of Commerce has instituted a settlement service to resolve any disputes of an economic nature that may arise between the businesses and the consumer-tourists. This procedure can also be activated directly from the Chamber of Commerce website.
